Cocchia & Sons Wine Grapes

Established c. 1913

The wine grape business was first started as an offshoot of Cocchia's Market, which was the first Italian American Grocery store in South Norwalk. The owners of this store, Rafaele and Filomena Cocchia decided to bring wine grapes into South Norwalk to accomodate a growing Italian American population that wanted to preserve the wine making tradition which they brought over to America with them from the old country.
